From the artist: “The (very small) body of work I made during pandemic is reflective of how I was feeling at that time: insular, quiet, still. I took a trip from Austin (where I was living at the time) to Santa Fe to visit his brother who had just graduated college and moved into his first apartment. This photo was taken at a motel on a strip near his apartment. I noticed it while we were driving and stopped to take the photo.”

10 x 8 inches, smooth matte cotton rag paper, deckled edges. Float famed at 2 inches with acrylic glazing. Hand-made framing recommended in Bleached Maple (pictured).
Each print and frame is made by hand to order. Kindly anticipate a production time of 1-2 weeks for unsigned prints, 3-4 weeks for signed prints, and 4-6 weeks for framed prints.

Isabelle Baldwin (b.1996) is based in Tucson, Arizona. She received her BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute in 2018. Originally from western North Carolina, her creative practice is shaped by the people and places that she has called home. From the Appalachian Mountains to the Sonoran Desert, her work is inspired by the organic materials and shapes of the American South and Southwest.
